After a successful career in medicine, Dr. Kim C. Bertin retired in 2012.  He and his wife wanted to continue improving the lives of others. They energetically countinued giving financially to support causes around the world and giving personally through his commitment to serve as a full-time LDS missionary in Hong Kong and then in the Philippines. This commitment to charitable giving has also provided a great opportunity for his posterity to participate in and love the process of giving.

The Bertin Family Foundation was founded in 2002 and is a private, independent foundation administrated by Kim Bertin, his wife, Jennifer, their children and  by their children and spouses, who all serve on the Foundation's board. Through the years, the foundation has supported many important and meaningful directives and is now focused on helping individuals improve their lives by granting donations to non-profits that are aligned with the foundation's four-fold mission:

  • Provide international humanitarian aid
  • Support LDS religious initiatives
  • Develop our local communities
  • Grant educational opportunities
